Refund Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026 · BookAeroFare.com
BookAeroFare.com is operated by People Information, LLC, an independent travel agency. We are not an airline and not an airline refund department. Whether a ticket can be refunded, credited, or neither is set by the airline’s fare rules and contract of carriage, plus applicable U.S. Department of Transportation rules. We explain that result before we cancel. We do not sell travel to residents of California, Florida, Washington, Hawaii, or Iowa.
Before the ticket is issued
If the ticket has not been issued, you have not been charged, so there is nothing to refund. We remove the stored card.
Within 24 hours of purchase
U.S. Department of Transportation rules generally allow cancellation within 24 hours of purchase without an airline penalty when the ticket was bought at least 7 days before departure and no part of it has been used. If the airline’s fare rules allow that void, we cancel the ticket and return the amount you paid us for that booking, including the $25 agency service fee, to the original card. We confirm the fare qualifies before we cancel. This is not a refund promise on every ticket.
After 24 hours, or departure inside 7 days
Outside that window, the airline’s fare rules and contract of carriage control. We do not override them. A refundable fare may be returned to the original card only after the airline approves it. A non-refundable fare is often a credit, or may have no cash refund, minus any airline charge. Phone help is $25–$50, quoted before we submit anything. You can also contact the airline with the airline PNR.
The $25 agency fee
The $25 agency fee is returned with the airfare only when the airline’s 24-hour cancellation rule applies to that unused ticket. Otherwise it is non-refundable once the ticket is issued.
Call +1 (800) 903-1468 or email support@bookaerofare.com to cancel. Have your Book Aero Fare reference or the airline PNR ready. When a refund is approved, it goes back to the original card. Posting time is set by the airline and your bank. We do not guarantee a posting date.
If the airline cancels
If the airline cancels the flight or makes a significant schedule change, U.S. DOT rules and the airline’s contract of carriage may allow a refund of the unused ticket to the original form of payment, or a rebooking. We help you request the option the airline offers. We do not decide eligibility, and we do not promise a refund the airline will not approve.
What we do not promise
- A cash refund on every cancellation.
- A 24-hour free cancellation on every fare, including tickets bought inside 7 days of departure or tickets already partly used.
- That we can override the airline’s fare rules, penalties, or contract of carriage.
- That we are the airline, an airline refund desk, or able to refund miles or points.
